Arpico Insurance holds Annual Awards 2014

Arpico Insurance PLC held its Annual Awards for the third consecutive year. This year too the event was held at Waters Edge, Battaramulla on 9 July in the presence of all staff and sales force from across the island.

The Chief Guest at the occasion was Professor Lakshman R. Watawala, Director of Richard Pieris & Company, accompanied by Viville Perera, Director of Richard Pieris & Company and Director Arpico Insurance PLC, Jagath Dissanayake, Group Chief Financial Officer of Richard Peiris & Company and Director Arpico Insurance PLC, Sirikananathan, Director of Arpico Insurance PLC, Lasinee Seresinhe, Director of Arpico Insurance PLC, and D.C. Kevitiyagala, Chief Executive Officer of Arpico Insurance PLC.

This gala event was also attended by Thushara Hettithanthirige, Head of Group Human Resources – Richard Peiris & Company, Muditha Welihinda, Director Group IT – Richard Peiris & Company, Jayalatha Siriweera, Director Legal and Secretarial Services, Lalith Jayasuriya, Head of Group Commercial – Richard Peiris & Company, Terrance Sampath, AGM Sales Western and North and East zone – Arpico Insurance PLC, and W.N.C.P. Nishan, AGM Sales Southern zone – Arpico Insurance PLC.

It was a celebration of success for the performers and the winners were recognised at the ceremony. Qualifiers of the foreign tour (Malaysia) 2014, were also recognised at this event. Arpico Insurance achieved a GWP of Rs. 297 million in the third year of its operation in 2014 with a growth of 44% while the industry growth rate was 9%. This was achieved due to the aggressive sales approach by its dedicated sales force around the country.

Arpico Insurance PLC is the first company to reach Rs. 12 million profit within the first three years of its operations.
