Dialog Axiata has entered into a joint venture with the Asiri Hospital Holding to launch a company in the health sector.
Digital Holdings Lanka Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dialog Axiata, has incorporated a joint venture company in partnership with Asiri Hospital Holdings to form a new JV company, Digital Health Ltd., a stock market disclosure said.
Digital Holdings and Asiri Hospitals have come together to incorporate Digital Health with the objective of developing and operating a state-of-the-art electronic commerce infrastructure for Sri Lanka’s healthcare sector, the disclosure said..
The new JV company was incorporated on Friday, 14 August, after a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Digital Holdings and Asiri Hospitals setting out the principal objectives and terms of the joint venture.
Under the agreement, Digital Holdings and Asiri Hospitals will hold 70% and 30% respectively of the initial shareholding of the JV company.
Further disclosures with regard to the future developments in the JV company will be notified to the Colombo Stock Exchange.
