BMICH compensates Dr. Samitha Samanmalee

Former President and current Chairperson of the Bandaranaike National Memorial Foundation (BNMF/BMICH) Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga presenting a letter of goodwill to Dr. Samitha Samanmalee who was injured at the BMICH premises in 2008 whilst being a medical student. The compensation awarded by the District Court was mutually and amicably settled in the High Court of Civil Appeals without proceeding with the appeal filed by BMICH upon the intervention of Kumaratunga and negotiations with Dr. Samanmalee’s lawyer, G.G. Arulpragasam. BMICH Director/Chief Executive Sunil Dissanayake along with other officials were present at the occasion.
