Sri Lanka has achieved economically to a stable level under the performance of the current administration of Good Governance during the last two years, American Congress Member Bill Johnson said. During a meeting with Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake yesterday held at the Ministry of Finance, Johnson remarked that he sees ruling the country by two main political parties as a unique situation.

He also said that he is confident that the Government would take necessary measures to fulfill any more aspirations of the people in the North.
Karunanayake said all parts of the country are undergoing development by the Yahapalana administration, adding that Sri Lanka is finding success on the international front under the abled guidance of President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe. He further said that the responses received by Sri Lanka at the recently concluded biannual conference of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) held in Washington D.C. were a clear indication of this status quo.
US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Atul Keshap was also present at the meeting.
