Dinesh Weerakkody appointed to HNB Board

Former Commercial Bank of Ceylon Chairman Dinesh Weerakkody has been appointed to the Board of Hatton National Bank.

Weerakkody is one of the country’s most experienced bank directors, having served on the boards of DFCC Bank Plc for eight years and Commercial Bank Ceylon Plc for nine years. He has also served as Audit Committee and Remuneration Committee Chairman of Commercial Bank Plc. Weerakkody was also the Chairman of the Government-appointed committee to review the integration of banks and NBFIs in 2015.
