Provincial Council member arrested for breaking curfew laws

The Sri Lanka Navy yesterday detained a Provincial Council member for breaking curfew regulations in Arachchikattuwa.

The individual had acted disorderly when stopped by a sailors on patrol yesterday night.

According to a Police press release the person was handed over to the Arachchikattuwa Police Station where he was arrested.

The suspect will be presented before the Chilaw Magistrate today on charges of breaking curfew regulations and obstruction of duties.
