CILTSL ideathon2020 to welcome ideas to tackle issues faced in logistics, transport and supply chain during and post COVID-19 pandemic.
CILTSLideathon2020 aims to scout for ideas in addressing supply chain, logistics and transport issues in transforming the viral induced economic meltdown. The distinguished panel of judges include DRH logistics Chairman Diren Hallock, Hemas Pharmaceuticals, Logistics and Maritime Cluster Managing Director Kasturi Wilson, zMessenger CEO Jayomi Lokuliyana, SLINTEC COO Heminda Jayaweera, Innovation Quotient Ltd. Founder/Managing Director Ahmed Irfan, and Lankan Angel Network CEO Chalinda Abeykoon.
Commenting on the launch of CILTSLIdeathon2020 CILT Sri Lanka Chairperson Gayani De Alwis said, “COVID-19 has had a major impact in our livelihoods as well as in our lives. This puts a lot of pressure on the supply chain. The pervasive nature of this outbreak brings an unprecedented level of uncertainty and disruption to the supply chains. As the premium chartered professional body for supply chain, logistics and transport, we are committed to playing an active and a strategic role to shape the new normal that will pan out with this pandemic. We are here to support our community by launching CILTSLideathon2020 as part of our commitment to a sustainable resilient industry,” she said.
Ideas and solutions that demonstrate a proof of potential shall be given due recognition at the CILT annual awards and will be further evaluated for potential implementation by CILT SL in collaboration with industry partners, investors and national organisations.
The CILTSLideathon began on 22 April enabling applicants to register and download the application forms from the CILT SL web site www.ciltsl.com. Submission of ideas will end at 12 midnight on 24 April. CILT Sri Lanka looks forward to 48 hours of positive ideation.
