Singapore-based BB Energy gets 8-month petrol import contract

BB Energy (Asia) Ltd., Singapore has been awarded the long-term contract for the import of petrol for eight months from 1 December to 31 July 2021.

Government called for bids from registered suppliers of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) to import 1,564,500+10-5% barrels of petrol (Unl) and 535,500+10/-5% barrels of petrol (95 Unl) for a period of eight months. Subsequently, the Cabinet has approved a proposal submitted by the Minister of Energy Udaya Gammanpila to award the contract to the Singapore based company, as recommended by the Standing Committee on Procurement appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers.
