Council for Business with Britain to discuss GDPR over breakfast

There’s a lot of talk about GDPR buzzing around and most people think it won’t affect them. They’re probably right if they don’t do business with anyone or any company in Europe. But you, who are engaged in doing business be it UK, France, Germany, etc. – we’re still part of Europe. So it’s important that you find out what you’re going to have to do to comply with these new regulations.

Of course, compliance is then your choice, but not knowing about GDPR doesn’t give you a choice. And sooner or later someone is going to ask you a question on how you comply and you’ll find it difficult to answer. To balance that, there are some very positive benefits to compliance.

European companies will want to do business with someone who’s compliant rather than someone who isn’t. You’re building trust and your reputation that you take doing business with Europe seriously. You’re not putting a European supplier in danger of being fined. You’ll be well ahead of your competitors so you have a market advantage.

Compliance is not that difficult, but it is a little complex on what you can and can’t do. That’s why the Council for Business with Britain has organised a breakfast session aiming to give you the low down in plain and simple language, covering the new consumer rights, what you can and can’t do, what you have to do to comply (if you need to) and where to get expert assistance. They really believe that attending this session will be a good investment of your time and they look forward to seeing you on Thursday 14 June at Hotel Colombo Residences commencing at 7:30 a.m. You can register by sending an email to [email protected] or reach out for more details on 5588859.
