Vikas Arora new CEO at Deutsche Bank SL; longstanding Rohan retires

After an illustrious career of over 37 years with Deutsche Bank and 14 years as Sri Lanka Chief Country Officer, Rohan Rodrigo retired from the Bank at the end of March.

Under Rohan’s dynamic leadership, Deutsche Bank has developed a resilient franchise in Sri Lanka, with an excellent track record and brand with key clients and local stakeholders. 

The Bank announced that Vikas Arora assumed the role of Sri Lanka Chief Country Officer and General Manager of DB AG Colombo Branch, effective 1 April, in addition to his role as Head of Global Transaction Banking and Head of Global Subsidiary Coverage for Sri Lanka.

Vikas has spent over 22 years with Deutsche Bank and has previously held senior management roles in India, Thailand, and the Philippines. 

“We are confident that with his extensive experience throughout the region in transaction banking, Vikas is ideally equipped to further develop our business in Sri Lanka. Vikas will report into Werner Steinmueller for his role as Chief Country Officer for Sri Lanka,” the Deutsche Bank said in a statement.
