Historic Lloyds Building back in business with new look

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) yesterday ceremonial opened the refurbished Lloyd’s Building at Sir Baron Jayatilleke Mawatha in Fort. Chief guest at the opening was Secretary, Ministry of Defence Gotabaya Rajapaksa. The Central Bank purchased this historic building in 2009 with the intention of meeting its growing space requirements due to expansion of activities in the recent years and took measures to renovate this historic building taking care to preserve its architectural value.
