Kalinga new president for BASL

President’s Counsel Kalinga Indatissa was yesterday elected as the 25thPresident of the Sri Lanka Bar Association.

He contested against former BASL Secretary Attorney Mahinda Lokuge for the post of President. Attorneys Kaushalya Nanayakkara and Saman Welianga contested for the position of Secretary.

President’s Counsel Dappula de Livera functioned as the chief selector to monitor voting that took place in Colombo. The remaining 82 polling centers out of Colombo will be monitored by the district judges of the respective districts, the Bar Association said.
