The Foreign Ministry yesterday said it was limiting services of the Consular Affairs Division due to the recent spike in COVID-19 infections.
The health and safety of those visiting the Consular Affairs Division of the Foreign Ministry to obtain its services is the Ministry’s utmost priority, it said in a statement.
Due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation, and health guidelines issued recently, the Ministry’s ability to provide some consular services may be limited. Therefore, the Ministry will prioritise the services provided by the Consular Affairs Division to those in urgent/genuine need, during the coming weeks.
The consular services, except the cases of deaths of Sri Lankans overseas and attestation of export documents and other related certificates, are done strictly by appointment only.
Contact the Consular Affairs Division on Tel: 011 2 335 942, 011 2 338 836 and 0112 338 812 or e-mail: [email protected] to make an appointment.
