Mahinda Samarasinghe appointed as SLFGTUF Vice Chairman

Minister of Ports and Shipping, Sri Lanka Freedom Party Vice Chairman and Media spokesmen Mahinda Samarasinghe has been appointed as the vice chairman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Government Trade Union Federation (SLFGTUF), affiliated to the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.

This appointment has been made during the executive board meeting held recently by President Maithripala Sirisena in his capacity as the chairman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Government Trade Union.

Accordingly, a special meeting of trade union representatives of the SLFGTUF was held recently at the ministry auditorium under the patronage of Minister Samarasinghe, where discussions were held regarding several facts such as decisions to be made in the future and procedures to be carried out in the task of resolving problems related to trade unions

SLFGTUF Secretary W. Roy de Mel, Senior Vice Chairman D.A.S. Abeweera, Secretary of International Affairs Dr. Eric Jayalath, and a group of delegates also attended the meeting.
