New UNP national list MP sworn in

A.L.M. Nazeer was sworn in as a United National Party national list Member of Parliament yesterday to fill the seat left behind by the recent resignation of M.H.M. Salman. Sri Lanka Muslim Congress National List MP M.H.M. Salman resigned from his MP post last month to pave the way for another SLMC member to represent another district.

Salman was one of two SLMC nominees included on the National List of the UNP following the general election in 2015.
