Piyasena Gamage new State Minister of Law and Order and Southern Development

Galle District United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Parliamentarian Piyasena Gamage has been appointed as the State Minister of Law and Order and Southern Development.

He was sworn in as the State Minister before President Maithripala Sirisena at the President’s Official Residence yesterday.

Gamage, a former minister, was recently appointed to the seat left vacant following the departure of UPFA MP Geetha Kumarasinghe after the Supreme Court disqualified her from holding parliamentary membership as she held dual citizenship.
