CILT SL Chairperson Gayani De Alwis CMILT and WiLAT SL Chairperson Gayathri Karunanayake CMILT represented Sri Lanka at the CILDC
The sixth China International Logistics Development Conference (CILDC) and China International Logistics and Transportation Industry Expo 2019 was held from 17-18 October in Shijiazhuang in the Hebei Province of China with a delegation of over 1,000 attending the conference. Over 100 CILT international delegations from 20 countries participated at the conference.
CILT SL Chairperson Gayani De Alwis CMILT and WiLAT SL Chairperson Gayathri Karunanayake CMILT represented Sri Lanka at the CILDC.
The Mayor of Shijiazhuang hosted the international delegates for dinner on 16 October. The CILT delegation meeting was held on 18 October followed by the President’s dinner. WiLAT global community deliberating the future plans on 17 October.
Conference delegates were also taken on a technical visit on the final day, where they were taken on a tour to the Shijiazhuang industry Expo and also to CSPC OUYI Pharmaceutical Company where the delegates were able to witness a fully-automated warehouse with robotic machines. The conference gave a good exposure for the delegates for knowledge enhancement and networking with the CILT global family and their Chinese counterparts.
