MAS Intimates, the pioneering lingerie manufacturing division of fashion and lifestyle group MAS Holdings, was honoured for the organization’s exceptional and innovative HR practices at Asia’s Best Employer Brand (ABEB) Awards 2012.
The grand awards gala, hosted by the Employer Branding Institute, World HRD Congress & Stars of the Industry Group together with CMO Asia, endorsed by the Asian Confederation of Businesses and Universum Asia, was held on the 19th of July 2012 at Park Royal, Singapore. MAS Intimates was feted with the Award for Best HR Strategy in line with Business as well as the Award for Excellence in Training.
Held for the third consecutive year, the ABEB Awards honour organizations exhibiting exemplary practices in developing and managing talent. This year’s event saw the participation of 20 Asian nations, and a Jury consisting of internationally renowned Senior Leaders in Human Resource Management evaluated all candidates, where the most impressive were then shortlisted. This Award ranks MAS Intimates’ HR practices on par with companies such as Unilever Asia, Gulf Bank and Tata Consultancy Services.
“We are continuously innovating ‘people-driven’ strategies and that has made a real difference in our business, as well as in the lives of our associates. We strive to have a balanced, holistic strategy, which is what has moved MAS Intimates forward across the years,” Dinal Peiris, Director Human Resource, receiving the award said.
MAS Intimates’ HR Strategy revolves around employee empowerment. Placing emphasis on celebrating and uplifting employees, this structured framework encourages the company’s inspired and innovative associates to think out of the box, the strongest differentiator for MAS Intimates among its competitors.
“Our people strategy is founded on a strong commitment that resonates from all levels of our organization, creating a deep sense of belonging among our employees” commented Dian Gomes, Managing Director of the MAS Intimates. “When empowered, people are enabled to create better livelihoods for themselves. The distinction between organizational development and community development ebbs, and we all work towards a common goal; a better future. It is certainly rewarding to be honoured for our commitment to uplift and empower our own.”
