Celebrations of Vesak festival in Islamabad

The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Islamabad celebrated Vesak on 4 May at the International Buddhist Centre in Diplomatic Enclave, Isla-mabad with the participation of Ambassadors/High Commissioners, family members of all Buddhist residents and the Sri Lankan community living in Islamabad and the suburbs.

There was a Buddha pooja and chanting of pirith by the devotees. The International Buddhist was colourfully decorated and illuminated with Buddhist flags, Vesak lanterns and oil lamps by the staff of the High Commission and their family members.
