Under 19 girls’ hockey in Matale

Matale will be in full swing with the Under 19 girls’ hockey tournament being conducted from today till 14 June organised by the Hockey Association on behalf of the Sri Lanka Schools Hockey Association.

This championship which is the highest in the schools hockey circuit involving premier hockey playing schools will be played at Edward Park and the Bernard Aluwihare Stadium in Matale.

Seetha Devi Balika Vidyalaya and Sangamitta Balika Vidyalaya, Matale are the defending joint champions.

Participants include President’s College Rajagiriya, Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya, Museus College, Yasodara Vidyalya, Visakha Vidyalaya, St. Anthony’s Girls College, Kandy, Pushpadana Girls College, Mahamaya Girls College, Kandy Girls High School, Gothami Balika Vidyalya Colombo, Hemamali Balika Vidyalaya, Vihara Maha Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Badulla Vijaya College Matale Southlands College Galle, St. Joseph’s Balika Vidyalya Kegalle, Panadura Balika Vidyalya, Sri Suamngala Balika Vidyalya, Panadura and Gothami Balika Vidyalaya, Kandy.
