Australia is a leading country of choice among many South Asians who aspire to migrate, especially Sri Lankans. The diplomatic relations between the two countries have strengthened over the past 75 years.

Playing a key role in strengthening this bond further, Australia Gateway, a versatile migration company has provided legal services for its clients since 2003. Founded by Susantha Katugampala, Barrister, Solicitor and Immigration Law Specialist, Australia Gateway has diversified itself to provide a broad range of immigration facilities to its clients.

“I studied law at the Monash University and subsequently worked at various law firms in Australia,” Katugampala said in an interview. “With the experience gathered I decided to establish Fairfields Lawyers, and we have been providing consultancy services with regards to migration since the early 2000s. Then in 2003 we founded Australia Gateway and handled various matters with regards to migration. Via Australia Gateway we provide skill, family, business, and investor migration services. For instance, we assist clients who aspire to expand their businesses in Australia. We work in the best interest of the client, and we have a network of lawyers based across Australia. This has been our strength.”

Australia Gateway assists clients with proper documentation and prepare them for their immigration journey. Manned by a large team of employees working in Australia, Dubai, Singapore and Sri Lanka, Australia Gateway provides its services as a boutique international migration company. “We work with many stakeholders including financial advisers, banks, accountants, and many other experts. The legal framework is ever changing, and we prepare our clients to brave these challenges ahead of them.”

Another important factor in strengthening the relationship between the two countries is the contribution extended by the expatriate community. “There is a lot of international support coming from expatriate communities in developing countries. As such this recognition is returned to their country of origin. There are many Sri Lankan expatriates serving in many high-level positions in countries such as Australia, New Zealand, US, and UK. In Australia there are many respected academics, IT professionals and health sector employees from Sri Lanka who are trying to make a change in their respective fields. Therefore, when there’s a strong expatriate community in an overseas country, it has a positive impact on Sri Lanka,” Katugampala further said.

With a proven track record and many success stories, many clients have placed their trust with Australia Gateway to fulfill their immigration dreams. The immigration law could be quite complex, and the process itself could be daunting. But with the proper legal procedures and documentation in place, Australia Gateway will ensure that your dreams are made a reality.

“Australia is a true friend of Sri Lanka, and we aspire to strengthen this bond further with the services that we provide and with the trust that we have built among our clientele,” Katugampala said in conclusion.
