Hingalgoda Tea Factory achieved yet another all-time record price Rs. 980 per kg for an invoice of a PF grade for the third week running, in the Off Grade category at the weekly tea auction held on 30 March. This surpassed the previous record price of Rs. 860 per kg for the same grade, which was obtained at the auction held a week ago. This line of tea was purchased by Akbar Brothers Ltd.
Hingalgoda Tea Factory is managed by Tea Small Holder Factories PLC and the sale was conducted by tea broker John Keells PLC.
All-time record price for Norwood Estate
Norwood Estate located in Bogawantalawa, renowned for producing quality teas, established an all-time record price at the tea auction held on 30 March, by securing an attractive price of Rs. 1,020 per kg for a FGS1 grade, in the Western High Category. This line of tea was purchased by Unilever Lipton Ceylon Ltd.
Norwood Estate is managed by Bogawantalawa Plantations PLC and the teas were marketed and sold by John Keells PLC.
Kotiyagalla Estate records an all–time record price
Kotiyagalla Estate located in Bogawantalawa, renowned for producing quality teas, established an all-time record price of Rs. 1,020 per kg for a FGS1 grade in the Western High category at this week’s tea auction held on 30 March. This invoice of tea was purchased by Unilever Lipton Ceylon Ltd.
Kotiyagalla Estate is managed by Bogawantalawa Plantations PLC and the sale was conducted by tea broker John Keells PLC.
All-time record price for Concordia Estate
Concordia Estate located in the Kandapola, which is known for producing quality teas, secured an attractive price of Rs. 1,450 per kg for a BP grade in the Off Grade category at the tea auction held on 30 March. This invoice of tea was purchased by Swiss Singapore Overseas Enterprises Ltd.
Concordia Estate is under the purview of Udapussellawa Plantations PLC, managed by Browns Plantations PLC and the teas were marketed and sold by John Keells PLC.

Aislaby Estate located in Bandarawela, renowned for producing quality orthodox teas, established an all-time record price at the tea auction held on 30 March by securing an attractive price of Rs. 1650 per kg for a liquoring FBOPF1 grade, in the Uva High Category. This line of tea was purchased by Enrich Tea and Food Exports Ltd
Aislaby Estate is managed by Malwatte Valley Plantations PLC and the teas were marketed and sold by John Keells PLC.
Two all-time record prices for Venture Estate
Venture Estate located in Bogawantalawa which is known for producing high quality teas, established all-time record prices at this week’s tea auction held on 30 March. An attractive price of Rs. 2,150 per kg on a BOP1 grade and Rs. 1500 per kg for on an OP grade in the in the Western High Grown category. These lines of tea were purchased by Ceyem Commodities Ltd. and Ceylon Tea Marketing Ltd. respectively.
Venture Estate comes under the purview of Madulsima Plantations PLC and marketed and sold by John Keells PLC.

Ambatenne Tea Factory situated in Bandarawela, achieved an all-time record price at the tea auction held this week by securing a price of Rs. 1,750 per kg for a BOP1 grade, in the Uva High Category. This line of tea was purchased by Dilmah Ceylon Tea Company PLC.

Telbedde Estate located Balangoda has achieved an all-time record price at the weekly tea auction held on 30 March. An attractive price of Rs. 1,950 per kg on a BOP1 grade in the Uva Medium category. This invoice of tea was purchased by Akbar Brothers Ltd.

Adawatte Estate record an all-time record price

Halpewatte Uva Estate located in Bandarawela, renowned for producing quality, light liquoring bright orthodox teas established an all-time record price of Rs.1,550 per kg on a liquoring BOPSp grade in the Uva Medium Category at the tea auction held this week. This invoice of tea was purchased by Shan Teas Ltd.

All-time record price for Mount Vernon Tea Estate
An invoice of High Grown CTC BP1 from Mount Vernon Tea Estate situated in Dimbula- Patana established an all-time record price of Rs. 780 per kg at this week’s tea auction held on 30 March. This line of tea was purchased by Tea Trends Exports Ltd. Mount Vernon Tea Estate comes under the purview of Kotagala Plantations PLC and this line of tea was marketed and sold by John Keells PLC.
Yet another record price for Ceciliyan Tea Factory
Ceciliyan Tea Factory, managed by Ceciliyan Associates Ltd. situated in Kalawana, Ratnapura, re-established an all-time record price of Rs. 880 per kg for a CTC Low Grown BP1 grade at the weekly tea auction concluded on 30 March. This surpassed their previous record price of Rs. 820 for the same grade which was obtained at last week’s tea auction.
This invoice of tea was purchased by Akbar Brothers Ltd., and the sale was conducted by tea broker John Keells PLC.
Two all-time record prices for Delta Estate
Delta Estate located in Pupuressa, achieved two all-time record prices at the recently concluded tea auction which was held on 30 March. A price of Rs. 890 per kg for a PF1 grade and a price of Rs. 780 per kg for BP1 in the CTC Medium Category was obtained.
These lines of tea were purchased by Ramico International Ltd and Tea Link Colombo Ltd respectively.
Delta Estate comes under the purview of Pussellawa Plantations Limited and the selling broker was John Keells PLC.
