Nayapane Estate located in Pussellawa, renowned for producing teas of unique liquoring characteristics, achieved an all-time record price at the weekly tea auction held on 24 May, by securing an attractive price of Rs. 2,950 per kg on a BOP1 grade in the Western Medium category. This invoice of tea was purchased by Ahmad Tea Ltd.
Nayapane Estate comes under the purview of Elpitiya Plantations PLC, managed by Aitken Spence Plantations Management PLC. This line of tea was marketed and sold by John Keells PLC.
