Alma Tea Factory, situated in Kandapola, has achieved an all-time record price at the weekly tea auction held on 15 and 16 October 2024 by securing an attractive price of Rs. 2,750 per kg for the grade PEK1 in the Uda Pussellawa elevation.
The Alma Tea Factory is managed by Footprints Holdings Ltd., and owned by Trevin de Silva and Sajitha De Alwis.
This tea was marketed by Ceylon Tea Brokers PLC and was sold to Shan Teas Ltd.
