Balangoda Plantations, Madulsima Plantations teas get certificates for all-time record prices

Balangoda, Meddakande, Glen Alpin and Wewessa estates managed by Balangoda Plantations and Battawatte, Verallapathana estates under the management of Madulsima Plantations, obtained all-time record prices in the Uva gigh and Uva medium grown categories, at the Colombo Tea Auctions. Both companies are managed by Melstacorp. Certificates were handed over to the respective estates at their head offices which are situated in Palm Garden, Ratnapura and Hingurugama Complex, Badulla.

Lal Ekanayake of Balangoda estate, Primal Vithanage of Meddakande estate received their certificates and Executive Director Dimuthu Wekunagoda, Chief Executive Officer Rohan Weerakon of Balangoda Plantations, recieved certificates on behalf of Glen Alpin and Wewessa estates.

Thiraj Wedisinghe of Battawatte estate received the certificate & Chief Executive Officer of Madulsima Plantations Mohan Fernando received the certificates on behalf of Verallapathana estate.

Shammi Upendra, the manager of Oodoowerra estate and the factory officer Chandrapala Rajapaksha, received their certificates at their factory premises for the all-time record prices obtained at the Colombo Tea Auctions in the Uva high category. Oodoowerre estate is managed by Hapugastenne Plantations which is owned by LOLC Group.

Dickwella estate managed by Malwatte Valley Plantations obtained all-time record Prices in the Uva medium category, at the Colombo Tea Auctions. Dickwella estate Manager Chaminda Perera, and Dickwella tea factory executive A.Shajahan, received the certificates at their factory premises.

Aruna Passara tea factory Manager Srimal Kumara received the all-time record price certificate at their factory office, for obtaining the highest price at the Colombo Tea Auctions in the Uva Medium category.
