Ceciliyan CTC secures all-time record price for PD Grade

The Ceciliyan CTC Tea Factory, situated in the hills of Kalawana in the Ratnapura District, established an all-time record price of Rs. 980 per kg for a CTC Pekoe Dust grade in the Low Grown CTC category at the tea auctions held on 9 October.

This invoice was purchased by Vintage Teas Ceylon Ltd. and was auctioned by Forbes and Walker Tea Brokers Ltd.

The factory is ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety Management Systems, ISO 14,000 and Ethical Tea Partnership certified. Ceciliyan was awarded the Gold Award in the Low Grown category (Sabaragamuwa Region) in 2018 by the Tea Exporters Association.

Ceciliyan CTC Tea Factory is owned and managed by Ceciliyan Associates Ltd, a family business in its third generation.
