Under the Government’s program to improve the estate sector, a proposal to increase the reciprocal cooperation between China and Sri Lanka was approved by the Cabinet.
Minister of Plantation Industries Navin Dissanayake had submitted the proposal to Cabinet on Tuesday as the first step of the initiative. A memorandum of understanding (MOU) will be signed between the two nations, as specified by the proposal.
Under the MOU, the focus will be on improving the tea, rubber and coconut sectors in the country.
