Demodara Estate establishes all-time record price

Demodara Estate, located in Badulla, renowned for producing quality liquoring orthodox teas, achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 2,500 per kg on a FBOPF1 grade in the Uva Medium Category at this week’s tea auction held on 31 May.

This line of tea was purchased by Basilur Tea Exports Ltd.

Demodara Estate is under the purview of Hapugastenne Plantations PLC, managed by Browns Plantations. This invoice of tea was marketed and sold by John Keells PLC.
