The FOB value of tea in March had reached the highest ever level of Rs. 1045.15 per kilo, Forbes and Walker Tea Brokers said. 

It said the figure was highest in a calendar month surpassing the previous best of Rs. 962.27 in February 2022. In comparison to March last year,  the current achievement was an increase of Rs. 94.33 compared to Rs. 950.81. Forbes and Walker said that although the total rupee FOB value has increased in 2022, in dollar terms it reflects a significantly lower value.
