Dickwella Estate achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 2,250 per kg for a BOP1 grade in the Uva Medium Region at this week’s Colombo Tea Auctions held on 19/20 April.
Dickwella Estate is ISO 22000:2018 and Rainforest Alliance certified.
This estate is managed by Malwatte Valley Plantations PLC under the stewardship of Regional Manager Chaminda Perera and veteran Factory Head A.M. Shajahan who were instrumental in achieving this feat.

Queensberry Estate (Kataboola) situated in the Dimbula Agro-Climatic District, achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 1,550 per kg for a BOPSP Grade in the Western High Grown category at the weekly online tea auctions held on 19/20 April.

This Estate is situated at an elevation of 1,300 metres above sea level. Glenloch Estate established in the year 1917 in Ramboda in the Dimbula Agro-Climatic District achieved yet another all-time record price of Rs. 1,850 per kg for a FBOPF1 grade in the Western High Grown Region at the weekly tea auctions held on 19/20 April 2022.
The estate/factory is owned and managed by distinguished tea producer M.T.M. Refai, whose passion for tea manufacture has alleviated its product and processes to maintain the highest standards, which accounts for Glenloch teas consistently being sold at premium prices amongst the few private factories manufacturing and selling commercial quantities of Orthodox Leafy grades in the Western High Grown Region.
Glenloch Tea Factory which is ISO22000:2018 and HACCP certified has an annual production of approximately 350,000 kg.
