Glenloch Estate achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 1,080 per kg for a Western High Grown FBOPF1 grade at the weekly tea auctions held on 25-26 January.

This line of tea was marketed by Forbes and Walker Tea Brokers Ltd., which exclusively markets teas of Glenloch Estate.

This estate was established in 1917 and is situated in Ramboda, in the Dimbula Agro-Climatic District. Glenloch Estate has an annual production of approximately 350,000 kg, and is ISO22000:2018 and HACCP certified.

The estate/factory is owned and managed by distinguished tea producer M. T. M. Refai, whose passion for tea manufacture has alleviated its product and process to maintain the highest standards, which accounts for Glenloch teas consistently being sold at premium prices amongst the few private factories manufacturing and selling commercial quantities of orthodox leafy grades in the Western High Grown region.

Refai, over the years, has achieved several local awards for his product quality at Glenloch Estate.
