Glenanore Estate re-establishes all-time record price
Glenanore Estate situated in Haputale, re-established an all-time record price of Rs. 2,800 per kg for a FBOPF1 grade, in the Uva High Category at this week’s tea auction held on 6 September, surpassing their previous record price of Rs. 2,600 per kg for the same grade which was obtained at last week’s tea auction. This line of tea was purchased by Inter tea.
Glenanore Estate is managed by Agarapatana Plantations Ltd., and the tea was marketed and sold by John Keells PLC.
All-time record price for Telbedde Estate
Telbedde Estate located in Badulla, under the purview of Balangoda Plantations PLC, achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 2,650 per kg for a BOP.Sp grade in the Uva Medium category at this week’s tea auction held on 6 September.
This invoice of tea was purchased by Ranfer Teas and marketed and sold by Tea Broker John Keells PLC.
All-time record price established by Demodara Estate
An attractive price of Rs. 3,800 per kg for BOP1 grade in the Uva Medium category was achieved by Demodara Estate at this week’s tea auction held on 6 September. Demodara Estate, located in Badulla comes under the purview of Hapugastenne Plantations PLC, managed by Browns Plantations.
This invoice of tea was purchased by Dilmah Ceylon Tea Company PLC, and marketed and sold by John Keells PLC.
Two all-time record prices established by Chrystelers Farm Estate
Chrystelers Farm Estate established two all-time record prices at this week’s tea auction held on 6 September. A price of Rs. 2,500 per kg for BOP.Sp grade and a price of Rs. 2,200 per kg for a PEKOE grade in the Western High category was achieved under the “St. Andrews” mark.
Chrystelers Farm Estate is located in Kotagala and comes under the purview of Kotagala Plantations PLC. These invoices of tea were purchased by Inter Tea and Uniworld Teas respectively, whilst the sole broker for “St Andrews” is John Keells PLC.
