New Vithanakande improved its own record for BOP1

For the third consecutive week New Vithanakande maintained its record-breaking performance. In the Low Grown category an Invoice of new Vithanakande BOP1 improved its own record and achieved a highest-ever price for Rs. 1,600 per kg at the Colombo Tea Auctions held on 15 and 16 October.The new Vithanakande Tea Factory is located in Delwala hills of the Sabaragamuwa region and is owned by the family members of late N.B.H. Pilapitiya.This tea was purchased by one of the leading tea exporters, Sunshine Tea Ltd. and successfully marketed by Asia Siyaka Commodities PLC.
