President gets ‘Sinhala Govithana’ book

A book titled ‘Sinhala Govithana’ written by Panditha Ven. Medauyangoda Wimalakeerthi Thera and reprinted by Prof. Ven. Induragare Dhammaratana Thera was presented to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa recently.

The ‘Sinhala Govithana’ book written by Ven. Medauyangoda Wimalakeerthi Thera in 1951, has given a description of the farming methods and equipment used for a better harvest.

Ven. Prof. Induragare Dhammarathana Thera said that the book was reprinted in order to revive the local Sinhala farming which was done without any toxins and requested the President to distribute it among government officials.

Ven. Waleboda Gunasiri Thera, the Anunayaka of Sri Lanka Ramanna Maha Nikaya, Shashthrawedi Pandith Ven. Medauyangoda Vijayakiththi Thera, Ven. Rathmalane Rathanasiri Thera also attended the event.
