Record price for New Vithanakande FBOPF

At this week’s Colombo Tea Auction held on 5/6 July 2022, in the Tippy Small Leaf catalogues an invoice of New Vithanakande FBOPF achieved a record price of Rs. 4,700 per kg. The previous record for this type of tea was Rs. 4,480 per kg. This tea was purchased by A. F. Jones Exporters Ceylon Ltd.

New Vithanakande produces an excellent quality black tea and always sell at the top end of the market. This factory is chaired by Nirmalene Pilapitiya and under the supervision of CEO Patrick Vanderpoortan, Factory Manager Lal Liyanaarachchi and Factory Officer K.W.N.P Nissanka.
