The fifth edition of the World Tea & Coffee Expo was held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai, from 16-18 November 2017.

The Sri Lanka Tea Board in collaboration with the Consulate General of Sri Lanka organised Sri Lanka’s participation at the World Tea and Coffee Expo.

Two tea exporting companies; Green Horizon Enterprises Ltd. and Kandrick Tea Beverages Lanka participated at the Expo.

Consul General of Sri Lanka in Mumbai Saroja Sirisena was invited as a Guest of Honour at the inaugural session.

Sri Lanka is renowned for its high quality tea and as the third largest tea producing country and one of the world’s leading exporters with a share of approximately 23% of the global demand. India is the world’s largest consumer of black tea with the domestic market of approximately 900 million kg of tea. Promoting Ceylon tea in value added format will create new opportunities to increase exports from Sri Lanka to India.
