Dickwella Estate achieves all-time record price

Dickwella Estate achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 2,400 per kg for a FBOP1 grade in the Uva Medium Region at this week’s Colombo Tea Auctions held on 29/30 March. 

Dickwella Estate is ISO 22000:2018 and Rainforest Alliance certification.  

This Estate is managed by Malwatte Valley Plantations PLC under the stewardship of Regional Manager Chaminda Perera and veteran Factory Head A. M. Shajahan who were instrumental in achieving this feat. 

This line of tea was sold and marketed by Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Ltd. 

 

Glenanore Estate achieves two all-time record prices

Glenanore Estate showcased their outstanding capabilities in manufacturing the highest quality of ‘Ceylon Tea’ by achieving all-time record prices yet again, for the second consecutive week in the Uva High Grown Region at Colombo Tea Auctions held on 29/30 March.

•OP1 Grade recorded a price of Rs. 2,200 per kg

•OP Grade recorded a price of Rs. 1,650 per kg


Glenanore Estate is ISO 22000:2018 and HACCP certified, and is managed by Agarapatana Plantations Ltd. under the stewardship of Senior Manager Gayan Wijesekara.

These lines of tea were sold and marketed by Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Ltd.

 

Mount Vernon Estate establishes all-time record price

Mount Vernon Estate achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 800 per kg for a BPS grade in the CTC

High Grown category at the weekly tea auctions held on 29/30 March.

The Estate which is situated in the Dimbula planting district at an elevation of 1,100 metres to 1,200 metres is renowned for manufacturing high quality CTC teas. Mount Vernon Estate is also one of the first estates to be converted to CTC manufacture in the Western High Grown elevation category and is Rainforest Alliance certified. 

This Estate is managed by Kotagala Plantations PLC.

Donside CTC Tea Factory establishes all-time record price

Donside (CTC) Tea Factory achieved and all-time record price of Rs. 820 per kg for a BPS grade in the CTC Medium Grown category at this week’s Tea Auctions held on 29/30 March. 

Donside (CTC) Tea Factory is ISO 22000:2018 certified and managed under the stewardship of Zavavi Odayar, who is highly reputed and respected in the industry for his ability to manufacture some of the finest quality CTC teas. 

This line of tea was marketed by Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Ltd.

 

Bambrakelly Estate achieves two all-time record prices

Bambrakelly Estate achieved two all-time record prices in the Western High Grown Region, at the weekly tea auctions held on 29/30 March. 

  • FBOP Grade recorded a price of Rs. 2,050 per kg
  • OP Grade recorded a price of Rs. 1,500 per kg

This Estate is reputed for manufacturing high-quality tea and is Rainforest Alliance and ISO 22000:2018 certified. 

Bambrakelly Estate is managed by Horana Plantations PLC under the stewardship of Subash Narayanan.

Senhora Synergies Group shines with six all-time record prices

Senhora Synergies Group showcased their outstanding capabilities in manufacturing best quality ‘Ceylon Tea’ by achieving six all-time record prices in the Western Medium and Low Grown regions at the weekly tea auctions held on 29/30 March.

The remarkable achievements were made possible by the young and energetic team at the respective factories endeavouring to achieve new heights through effectively collaborating with the senior management as one group creating a unique culture of producing high quality teas. 

The weekly tea evaluations conducted at the Broker’s office in Colombo enabled them to further enhance their understanding of the dynamic market conditions enabling them to cater to the specific needs of the export sector.

Glenloch Estate excels once again

Glenloch Estate established in the year 1917 in Ramboda, under the Dimbula Agro-Climatic District achieved yet another all-time record price of Rs. 1,750 per kg for a FBOPF1 grade in the Western High Grown Region at the weekly tea auctions held on 29/30 March.

The estate/factory is owned and managed by distinguished tea producer M. T. M. Refai, whose passion for tea manufacture has alleviated its product and processes to maintain the highest standards, which accounts for Glenloch teas consistently being sold at premium prices amongst the few private factories manufacturing and selling commercial quantities of orthodox leafy grades in the Western High Grown Region. 

Refai, over the years has achieved several local awards for his product quality at Glenloch Estate. Glenloch factory which is ISO22000:2018 and HACCP certified has an annual production of approximately 350,000 kg.

Torrington Estate sets all-time record price

Torrington Estate achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 1,850 per kg for an OP1 grade in the Western High Grown Region at his week’s tea auctions held on 29/30 March. 

This Estate is reputed for manufacturing high-quality tea and is Rainforest Alliance certified. 

Torrington Estate is managed by Agarapatana Plantations Ltd. under the stewardship of W. P. N. Wasantha.

Delmar Estate continues to excel at Colombo tea auctions

Delmar Estate achieved yet another all-time record price of Rs. 1,650 per kg for a FBOP grade in the Uda Pussellawa Region at the weekly tea auctions held on 29/30 March, demonstrating their outstanding ability to go above and beyond as they continue to manufacture high quality ‘Ceylon Tea.’ 

This line of tea was marketed by Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Ltd.

Delmar Estate is Rainforest Alliance certified is managed by Udapussellawa Plantations PLC under the stewardship of Shamil Perera, which is a part of Browns Power Holdings Ltd.

 

Blairlomond Estate sets all-time record price

Blairlomond Estate achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 1,500 per kg for a FBOPF1 grade in the Uda Pussellawa Region at the weekly tea auctions held on 29/30 March.

This Estate is Rainforest Alliance certified and the estate is managed by Udapussellawa Plantations PLC under the stewardship of Amila Udana Weerasinghe, which is part of Browns Power Holdings Ltd.

This line of tea was exclusively sold and marketed by Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Ltd.

 

Demodera Estate achieves all-time record price

Demodera Estate achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 1,550 per kg for a BOPSP grade in the Uva Medium Region at the weekly tea auctions held on 29/30 March. 

This line of tea was marketed by Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Ltd.

Demodera Factory was initially established in the year 1912 and was destroyed in a fire that occurred in the year 1925, and restored in 1929. The Factory is situated at an elevation of 871 metres in the vicinity of world renowned ‘Demodera Loop’, an engineering marvel of Sri Lanka. Demodera Estate is reputed for manufacturing high-quality tea and is Rainforest Alliance certified.

Hapugastenne Plantations PLC is a part of Browns Power Holdings Ltd, the managing company of Demodera Estate under the stewardship of Group Manager Nelantha Silva.

BOP1A Grade achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 1,300 per kg

 

Dunsinane Estate surpasses own all-time record

Dunsinane Estate established an all-time record for a CTC High Grown PF1 grade at Rs. 880 per kg at the weekly auctions conducted on the 29/30 March. 

This line of tea was sold and marketed by the Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers áLtd.

Dunsinane Estate is situated at an elevation of 1,400 metres above sea level at the Pundaluoya Valley in the Dimbula planting district. It is an ISO 22000:2005 and Rainforest Alliance certified facility with an annual production capacity of over a million kilos of made tea per annum. 

This estate is managed by Elpitiya Plantations PLC under the stewardship of Asela Udumulla.

FBOP Grade achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 2,100 per kg. FBOPF1 Grade achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 2,000 per kg

 

Dartry Valley Tea Factory  

BOP1 Grade achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 2,350 per kg. OP1 Grade achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 2,100 per kg. PEK1 Grade achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 1,700 per kg
