Wathurawila Tea Factory establishes all-time record price and equal all-time record price

Wathurawila Tea Factory situated in Elpitiya, managed by Evergreen Group of Companies achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 2,400 per kg for OP grade and an equal all-time record price of Rs. 2,000 per kg for BOP grade at the weekly tea auction held on 04/05 April in the Low Grown category.

Evergreen Group of Companies is owned by Aruna de Silva. Wathurawila Tea Factory is managed by Director Indika Nallapperuma, Manager Rusith Nallapperuma, and Factory Officer K.H. Chandana Kumara.

This tea was purchased by M/S Nature Ceylon Trading Ltd. and Vintage Teas Ceylon Ltd. respectively.

The sale was conducted by Ceylon Tea Brokers PLC.
