Wathurawila Tea Factory establishes all-time record price

Wathurawila Tea Factory situated in Elpitiya, managed by Evergreen Group of Companies, achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 2,350 per kg for BOP grade at the weekly tea auction held on 26 and 27 April in the Low Grown category.

Aruna de Silva is the Chairman of Evergreen Group of Companies. Wathurawila Tea Factory is managed by Director lndika Nallapperuma, Manager Rusith Nallapperuma, and Factory Officer K.H. Chandana Kumara. This tea was purchased by M/S Shan Teas Ltd. The sale was conducted by Ceylon Tea Brokers PLC.
