Wathurawila Tea Factory establishes all-time record price

Wathurawila Tea Factory situated in Elpitiya, managed by Evergreen Group of Companies achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 7,950 per kg for FBOPFEXSp1 grade at the weekly tea auction held on 31 May/1 June 2022 in the Low Grown category.

Evergreen Group of Companies Chairman is Aruna de Silva. Wathurawila Tea Factory is managed by Director lndika Nallapperuma, Manager Rusith Nallapperuma, and Factory Officer K.H. Chandana Kumara.

Wathurawila Tea Factory, one of the leading tea factories in Sri Lanka, is certified with Rain Forest Alliance Sustainable Agriculture Standard 2017 and ISO 22000:2018.

This tea was purchased by Imperial Teas Ltd. The sale was conducted by Ceylon Tea Brokers PLC.
