All-time record price for Halpewatte Uva

Halpewatte Uva Estate situated in Bandarawela established an all-time record price of Rs. 830 per kg on a liquoring BOP SP grade at this week’s tea auction held on 18 July. 

Halpewatte Uva estate is owned and managed by A.P.D. Abeyrathne together with his wife and three sons who take pride in consistently producing some of the finest teas being manufactured in the Uva region for over two decades, which have reached the pinnacle of the tea market the world over. This invoice of tea was purchased by Jafferjee Brothers and the sale was conducted by John Keells Plc.
