All-time record price for Nawalakanda Tea Factory

Nawalakanda Tea Factory achieved an all time record price of Rs. 500 per kilo for a Fannings grade tea purchased by M/s Ranfer Teas, surpassing the previous record of Rs. 480 per kilo at the recently concluded tea auctions which was held at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.  The above line of tea was sold by John Keells PLC. With the commitment of its Proprietor Anura Peiris and the factory staff, Nawalakanda Tea Factory has produced high quality orthodox teas over the past few years and achieved several awards for its quality. Nawalakanda Tea factory is situated in the Ratnapura district’s Kahawatte region and produces approximately around 2.2 million kilos per year.
