Brombil Tea Factory achieved an all time record price of Rs. 780 per kilogram for a BOP grade in the Low Grown category at the auction held on 1 October, 2013 surpassing the previous record price of Rs. 760. This invoice was purchased by J-Cey Tea Ltd. and the sale was conducted by Ceylon Tea Brokers PLC who is the sole broker for Brombil Tea Factory’s orthodox teas.
Brombil Tea Factory is one of the largest tea factories in Sri Lanka which produced both Orthodox and CTC teas and is renowned for the manufacture of good quality teas. This factory is situated in Matugama in the Kalutara district it is owned by Aruna De Silva and managed by Indika Nallaperuma.
