CIC Agri Businesses wins Gold at NCE Awards

CIC Agri Produce Export Ltd., a part of CIC Agri Businesses, recently won a highly-acclaimed Gold award in the Agriculture Value Added Small Category at the 22nd National Chamber of Exporters (NCE) Awards Ceremony. CIC has previously been awarded a gold award and silver award in 2012 and 2011 respectively in the same category. CIC Agri Produce collecting the acclaimed Gold award in the Agri Culture Value Added Small Category at the 22nd National Chamber of Exporters Awards   CIC Agri Produce Export Ltd. produces rice of the highest quality for both the local and export markets. The company is known for producing many traditional rice varieties like Suwandel, Kaluheenati and Madathawalu. CIC’s speciality rice products are made using purified and genuine seeds which produce different varieties of rice and are supplied by strong and well established out-grower farmer network. The varieties include LOW GI (Glycemic Index) Red Basmati rice which is extremely popular among people who are health conscious. This Red Basmati rice is certified as a LOW GI product by the Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute of Australia.  The rice variety was developed by CIC’s Research and Development team and similar products will enter the market in the near future. The rice varieties produced by CIC are on par with local and international standards and specifications. CIC is globally certified and has ISO 22000:2005, HACCP (Food Safety Management Systems), SEDEX (Empowering sustainable and ethical supply chains) and US FDA certifications. H.G.
