Finlay Plantations bags all-time record price at Tea Auctions

At the Colombo Tea Auctions concluded on 12 December, Pekoe 1 grade produced by Court Lodge Estate Kandapola was sold at an all-time record price of Rs. 1,300 per kilo. The buyer of this tea was Venture Tea Ltd.

Court Lodge Estate, which belongs to Uda Pussellawa Plantations PLC managed by Finlays Tea Estates Sri Lanka Limited, is situated at an elevation ranging from 5,000 to 6,500 feet in close proximity to Kandapola town with the tea fields bordering and descending down from the Pidurutalagala peak.

This estate has the distinction of producing tea with the unique Nuwara Eliya character throughout the year, which is recognised by all connoisseurs of tea in the world.
