Hayleys Agriculture cultivates strong bonds with Tuflex India

Hayleys Agriculture Holdings Limited, the Agribusiness arm of the Hayleys conglomerate, announced that it had entered into a partnership with Tuflex India, a division of Parry Enterprises India Ltd., part of the highly diversified Murugappa group of companies. Under this agreement the company will distribute Tuflex’s polymer nets and knitted products for agri and related uses in Sri Lanka. “Our agro products have been widely appreciated by clients around the world for both quality and the wide range of benefits they offer,” said Tuflex India Managing Director Arun Murugappan. “Having witnessed the widespread network and grass root level partnerships Hayleys Agriculture has with the local farming community, we are confident that this arrangement will help us successfully market our products in Sri Lanka. Working alongside the Hayleys Agriculture team, we look forward to assisting Sri Lankan farmers,” he added. A renowned manufacturer, exporter and supplier of polymer nets and knitted products, Tuflex’s range find application in the fields of geo-technical engineering, mosquito proofing, agro shading, garden fencing, packaging and other areas. Commenting on the partnership, Hayleys Agriculture Holdings Limited Managing Director Rizvi Zaheed said, “We, at Hayleys Agriculture, have been involved in supplying inputs and materials for protected agriculture and micro irrigation for over a decade. By bringing together Tuflex’s expertise in manufacturing polymer nets and knitted products and our experience in designing, installing and distributing these products, this agreement will help us work in synergy to solve some of the current problems faced by the local farming community.” The company, which dominated this year’s AGBIZ awards with 10 awards, will initially bring to market Tuflex’s agro products including agro shading, agro shade nets, anti-insect nets, anti bird net and rose bud net.
