Hidellana Estate obtains all-time record price

At this week’s tea auction an invoice of BM grade selling under the Ranwin mark from Hidellana Tea Factory, Ratnapura fetched an all-time Colombo tea auction record price of Rs. 590 per kg under the Off grade category. This invoice was purchased by M/S Sunshine Teas Ltd.

This estate is owned by Lalith Liyanage who emphasised that ‘Good Manufacturing Practices’ are being adapted at this factory. This tea was sold through Lanka Commodity Brokers Ltd.
