An invoice of Broken Orange Pekoe Special (BOPSP) grade offered at the Colombo tea auction held on 16 May, for sale under the Inverness mark, equalled its own record for a BOPSP grade of Rs. 760 per kilogramme.
Inverness teas command premium prices at the Colombo tea auctions and hold records for the highest prices realised for many grades over the years.
Inverness is the selling mark of the Nuwara Eliya Estate. It is a part of Kelani Valley Plantations Plc, a member of the Hayley’s Group of Companies.
This tea was purchased by Akbar Brokers Ltd. and was successfully marketed by Asia Siyaka Commodities Plc.
