The Israel Business Development Office (IBDO) in Sri Lanka is the commercial arm of the Embassy of Israel in New Delhi. The IBDO commenced its business operation in Sri Lanka on 3 May. Within a short period of three months the IBDO has created an impact and made it hear amongst the business circle.
Due to the necessity and high demand foreseen in the agriculture and livestock sector, the IBDO in Sri Lanka has organised AgroTech 2012. The AgroTech 2012 will be combined with technical sessions followed by business-to-business meetings on 10 September at Hilton Colombo Residence – No. 200, Union Place, Colombo 2.
Minister of Agriculture Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena will grace this occasion as the Chief Guest. Most leading agriculture and livestock sector organisations in Sri Lanka are invited to this event, while a panel of prominent speakers and business delegation from Israel is expected to attend this event in Colombo.
The forum aims to strengthen the appeal of those who are involved in the agriculture and livestock sectors. It will provide organisations and entrepreneurs a platform to share domain knowledge and also to voice their requirements and capabilities to collaborate business ties with Israeli organisations.
AgroTech 2012 will provide a great opportunity for budding professionals to network with companies in Israel and also enable them to seek assistance from the Business Development Office for future needs. Since agriculture and livestock is a vast area, professional in this field rarely get the opportunity be involved in the complete process involving agriculture and livestock. The industry involves diverse modes hence it is essential for each segment to team up for a progressive business environment.
