Hiniduma Small Holders Tea Factory sets all-time record price The Hiniduma Small Holders Tea Factory situated in Neluwa, Medagama achieved an all-time record price at the weekly tea auctions held on 29 October 2013 by securing an attractive price of Rs. 540 for a BOP1A grade. This line of tea was purchased by Qualitea (Ceylon) Ltd. Hiniduma Small Holders Tea Factory is managed by Tea Small Holders Factories PLC and John Keells PLC are the tea brokers marketing the produce.   Nawalakanda Tea Factory sets an all-time record price Nawalakanda Tea Factory achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 540 per kilogram for a BOP1A grade which was purchased by Jafferjee Brothers at the recently concluded Tea Auctions which were held at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce on 29 October 2013. The line of tea was sold by John Keells PLC. Nawalakanda Tea Factory has produced high-quality orthodox teas over the past few years and has achieved several awards for its quality. This tea factory is situated in the Ratnapura district’s Kahawatte region and the proprietor of this modern tea factory is Anura Peiris.   All-time record price for  Nuwara Eliya Estate Nuwara Eliya estate situated in Labookelle, established two all-time record prices at this week’s Tea Auction. A liquoring OP1 grade of this estate selling under the “Inverness” mark sold at an attractive price of Rs. 1000 per kilogram, surpassing the previous record of Rs. 650 established on 25 September 2013. This line of tea was purchased by Euro Scan Exports Ltd. Inverness also set a new record for the FBOPF1 grade in the Western High Grown Category by achieving a price of Rs. 740 per kilogram which was purchased by Union Commodities. Nuwara Eliya Estate is managed by Kelani Valley Plantations PLC. The sales of these teas were conducted by John Keells PLC.     Chrystler’s Farm Estate achieves all-time record price Chrystler’s Farm Estate selling under the “St Andrews” mark has set an all- time record price for a liquoring FBOPF1 grade of Rs. 740 per kilogram at this week’s tea auction surpassing the record price of Rs. 720 established last week. This estate situated in Kotagala comes under the purview of Kotagala Plantations PLC. The line of tea was purchased by Union Commodities and the Sole Broker for this Estate is  John Keells PLC.     Kenilworth Estate establishes all-time record price Kenilworth Estate situated in Ginigathhena, has once again established an all-time record price of Rs. 940 per kilogram for a liquoring OP grade surpassing the previous record of Rs. 800, which was established in September 2013. This line of tea was purchased by Ceyem Commodities. Kenilworth Estate is managed by Watawala Plantations PLC. The Sole Broker for the estate is John Keells PLC.   All-time record price for Derangala Hills Tea Factory   Derangala Hills Tea Factory situated in Morawaka, achieved an all-time record price at the weekly tea auctions held on 29 October by securing an attractive price of Rs. 880 for a BOP grade in the small leaf category. Derangala Tea Factory is renowned for its top quality orthodox tea and excellent liquors. Derangala Hills Tea Factory is managed by Southern Group Tea Industries Ltd. and John Keells PLC are the tea brokers marketing the produce.   All-time record price for Morapitiya Tea Factory   Renukanda Tea Factory situated in Morapitia, Agalawatte achieved an all-time record price at the weekly tea auctions held on 29 October by securing an attractive price of Rs. 860 per kilogram for a BOP SP grade in the small leaf category. Morapitiya Tea Factory is renowned for its top quality orthodox and CTC teas. John Keells PLC are the tea brokers marketing the produce.
